Man, does this guy suck at defending himself or what?
Iott called “what happened in Germany during the second World War one of “the low points in human history,” but defended the Wiking Division when Cooper referred to them as collaborators: “I don’t know that I would put that label on them. They were doing what they thought was right for their country. And they were going out and fighting what they thought was a bigger, you know, a bigger evil.”
Seriously, who is advising this guy? Surely, one can argue that not every German was a Nazi and that it’s in reality a very complex matter, but we’re talking about a volunteer Waffen SS division – and the argument that they fought for what they believed to be good is idiotic – so I suppose we shouldn’t blame Nazi for genocide, after all, they really did think Jews were evil and corrupting, so who are we to judge them?
Way to help yourself, fella!
