If you still haven’t had a chance to read Malabou’s The Future of Hegel: Plasticity, Temporality and Dialectic, then do yourself a favor and pull your head out of your proverbial ass and get with the program: next Derrida is a woman! Maybe if I am not lazy enough, or busy with my political activity, I will post on her in the nearest future as I am presently trying to make my way through her Le Change Heidegger: Du fantastique en philosophie (Paris, Léo Scheer, 2004).
Tip for Mediocre Bloggers (”MB crew” - I am currently working on a cool gang sign we can all throw with our respective fingers - ideas are welcome) out there: see how I mentioned that I am reading a sophisticated book in French, clearly implying that I am fluent in it without having to really say it - that is a skill you will also develop in time, just follow my lead for now…

I do indeed, it is not a matter of education, Paco, it’s a matter of pride and, honestly, I just seem to get more food this way, tu sais? That Benjamin book looks interesting - does it mention Carl Schmitt or the issues of violence and/or religion? I am also liking Leo Strauss these days - don’t know much about him but his comments on Schmitt’s Concept of the Political are devastatingly (knee-crushingly, I should say) awesome - did you ever read anything by him?
